I am an experienced documentary editor committed to telling intimate, compelling and important stories.
My short form work was nominated for the Grierson and International Documentary Association Awards as well as a Vimeo Short of the Week. My broadcast credits include Life and Birth (BBC 1), Surgeons: At the Edge of Life (BBC 2) and Italia 90: When Football Changed Forever (Channel 4). I’ve also worked extensively in development editing, creating tapes that have led to several commissions.
My first feature premiered at Sundance 2023. Is There Anybody Out There? has now screened at SXSW, CPX:DOX, Hot Docs, Sheffield Doc/Fest among others, and won the FIPRESCI International Film Critics Prize at Krakow Film Festival. It has received two BIFA nominations and a BAFTA nomination, and following theatrical distribution in the UK and Ireland is now available on Netflix, Prime Video, BFI Player and Curzon Home Cinema.
I grew up in a remote part of Scotland with miles of wilderness, three TV channels and a lot of books. Outside of the cutting room I like to hike, kayak, take the odd picture and read short stories.
I’m a graduate of the National Film and Television School in the UK and a visiting tutor.
